CAS Introduces Advanced ADAS Solutions
Canada Auto Solutions (CAS) has announced that it has expanded its ADAS capabilities to cover a wide range of the technology. ADAS, the Advanced Driver Assistance Systems are electronic components in vehicles which are developed to automate, adapt, and enhance vehicle systems for safety and better driving.
The sensors used in ADAS are mainly cameras, radar, lidar and ultrasonic. They can detect light, heat, pressure, or other variables used to monitor the state of the car. They are usually located in the front and rear bumpers, side mirrors, inside the steering column or in the windscreen.
Advanced driver assistance systems usually include Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC), Autonomous Emergency Braking (AEB), Lane Departure Warning (LDW), Lane Keep System (LKS), Front Collision Warning (FCW), Rear Collision Warning (RCW), Pedestrian Collision Detection (PCD), Blind Spot Detection (BSD), Night Vision System (NVS), Parking Assist System (PAS) and Traffic Sign Recognition (TSR).

While Static Calibration needs to be performed in a regulated service environment, using a calibration tool and calibration patterns, in combination with calibration software, Dynamic Calibration does not require any calibration tool and calibration patterns. It requires calibration software to initiate an auto learning process, and then a road test is needed in a straight line and clear lane marking environment.
